Some Thoughts on the Good Life

In 1880, Renoir painted his famous Luncheon of the Boating Party, depicting a colorful group of Parisian friends enjoying a Sunday afternoon. Last Summer, I was at the Rosenthal Winery's wine bar and patio in Malibu and snapped this shot of another group of friends enjoying wine and conversion. The two shots are amazingly similar.135 years later, people like you and I are still making beautiful, memorable, moments! Joie de vivre and the art of living are not something we've lost in the past. We can make that magic a part of our life right now, if we just choose to spend a little more time in the moment, enjoying life in ways that are most meaningful to us. Whether we share a relaxing luncheon with friends, or ride our mountain bike up and down dirt trails, or even find a quiet corner and read a delicious book, doesn't matter. What's important, I believe, is that we make the time to do what we love - the activities that give us the most joy! --Simon
